Nicholas Gregory Rudnytzky – biography

Nicholas Gregory Rudnytzky: has been a member of St. Sophia Religious Association of Ukrainian Catholics, USA since 2006. 

     Nicholas was born September 16, 1968 in Philadelphia, PA (USA) to Leo and Irene (née Ievins.)  He is husband to Chrystyna (née Nimczuk) and the proud parent of Gregory, Michael, Julia and Amelia.  Nicholas is the Dean of Academic Services at Manor College, America’s only fully accredited college founded by the Ukrainian-Catholic Sisters of St. Basil the Great in Jenkintown, PA, USA. He served as adjunct professor at a university graduate level for over 19 years in the Central and Eastern European Studies Program at La Salle University (Philadelphia, Pa.) while working on a Ph.D. from Georgetown University (Washington, D.C.) where he is ABD. 

     Nicholas has conducted a series of lectures internationally covering a range of topics including post-industrial folk heroes, Ukrainians in the diaspora, and modern American Popular Culture.  He has coordinated and organized many educational conferences at area colleges and universities and is the co-translator and co-editor of Seeds of Wisdom; Sermons for Sundays and Holy Days by Fr. Jurij Kmit, (Rodovid Publications, Kyiv, 2015,) with his father, Dr. L. Rudnytzky. 

     He is a member of Phi Sigma Iota and Phi Alpha Theta since 1989; the Shevchenko Scientific Society, USA, since 1998; Auxiliary Membership in the Order of Knights of Malta since 2005; Vice-Principal of the Ukrainian Heritage School, Jenkintown, PA, since 2017 and President emeritus Ukrainian League of Philadelphia, Fairmount, PA, USA.
