Mykhailo Tatarchuk, M.D., Ph.D., is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Pennsylvania Center for Neurotrauma and a neurosurgeon who works in close collaboration with the Romodanov Neurosurgery Institute National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine.
He was born on September 16, 1981, in Topoli, Chernihiv Region, to Mykhailo and Yevdokia Tatarchuk. In 2005, he graduated with honors from the O. O. Bogomolets National Medical University. He gained his medical experience at numerous foreign internships and courses, and worked at the Kyiv Regional Hospital and the Kyiv Emergency Medical Service Hospital.
In 2015, Dr. Tatarchuk defended his thesis and earned his Ph.D. He was awarded the state award “For Impeccable Medical Service” in 2018 and the certificate of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine “For Services to the Ukrainian people” in May 2022.
Father of two wonderful children, Mykhailo is an active participant in the activities of the Ukrainian Federation of America in Jenkintown, the Saint Sophia Religious Association of Ukrainian Catholics, USA, the Shevchenko Scientific Society, and a volunteer at Saint Basil Ministry in Jenkintown, PA.
